Fear No Evil

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

As I was preparing for a retreat on "He Restoreth My soul, I heard the Lord say, "Go on to the next scripture." My response was, "I do not want to go to the valley of the shadow of death. It is scary, dark, cold and lonely. I do not like it."

However, the next phase of that verse made all the difference in the world. "I fear no evil: for Thou Art With Me: Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort Me."

I have no need to fear going anywhere as long as I know my Lord is with me.
